Establishing a new kindergarten takes much ongoing commitment and plain "good old hard work" to make it happen and from lots and lots of people.
In the early days many of the Parent Action Group didn't realise what lay ahead and just how muli-tasked they would become.
Today after 5 years of operation Glen Oak Kindergarten has become a successful and financially viable kindergarten.
With this in mind Glen Oak Kindergarten would like to acknowledge the following who contributed and supported the kindergarten through its development.
Parents/Friends/Families/Staff of the Glen Oak Kindergarten Community
The people who attended working bees, helped on the committees, the Fete committees, did fundraising, kinda duty and had faith in the development of the kindergarten. It couldn't have happened without your help.
Helen Edwards and Jo Wotton
The Kindergarten's fabulous bookkeepers who worked along side the committees to try and balance budgets and make ends meet....which wasn't easy!
Glenroy/Oak Park Baptist Church
All members of the congregation but in particular Reverend Peter Holmes, his wife Florence and Secretary Don Sandy and his wife Helen. Such great supporters of the kindergarten and worked tirelessly to get it opened in time.
Hon. Christine Campbell MP, Member for Pascoe Vale
Whose ongoing support of the kindergarten has been greatly appreciated.
Department of Human Services
in particular Christine Staubringer (Children's Services) for her time and advice to secure funding and also ensure that the kindergarten met regulations.
Kindergarten Parents Victoria
Anglican Parish of Pascoe Vale /Oak Park
who worked closely with the Parent Action Group in the early days to help in the setting up process by renting their premise to the kindergarten whilst the new site was being built, and enabling the transfer of furniture and effect from St Oswalds Kindergarten to Glen Oak Kindergarten.

for donating many goods or providing fantastically cheap prices.
